DIAMONDS DISCOVERED IN TWO CORE HOLES ON DUMONT’S ATTAWAPISKAT PROPERTY, NEAR VICTOR DIAMOND MINE, ONTARIO

With reference to press release of July 6, 2009, by Metalex Ventures Ltd. (MTX:TSX-Ven), and related release of even date by Arctic Star Diamond Corp. (ADD:TSX-Ven), DUMONT NICKEL INC. (DNI:TSX-Ven, DG7:FSE) is pleased to announce the discovery of diamonds by Metalex in core samples from two drill holes on DUMONT’s Attawapiskat Property, located approximately seven kilometres south of the Victor diamond mine, Attawapiskat region, Ontario.

DUMONT’s Attawapiskat Property is under option to Kel-Ex Development Ltd, a private corporation under Mr.C.Fipke’s control. The Property is being explored by Kel-Ex, at no cost to DUMONT, under separate arrangements with Metalex, Arctic Star and Big Red Diamond Corp. (DIA:TSX-Ven). DUMONT retains a 10% carried interest to production and a 5% interest in certain surrounding areas if acquired by Kel-Ex. DUMONT's Attawapiskat Property is adjacent to DeBeers' Victor diamond mine property and is located in the same structural corridor hosting the Victor diamondiferous kimberlite and other kimberlites in the region.

Metalex’s July 6 press release expands on its June 22, 2009, press release which announced that eight of nine drill holes recently tested intersected “the margins or upper levels of buried kimberlite intrusive complexes”. Metalex further concluded that the new results “indicate that a new group of previously unconfirmed kimberlites have been discovered in the area”. The eight holes are located on DUMONT’s claims.

Metalex’s July 6 press release reports recent analyses conducted at C.F.Mineral Research Ltd. laboratory on the eight core holes reported as kimberlite on June 22, 2009. This testwork successfully recovered two clear white microdiamonds from a 8.64kg sample of kimberlite breccia from near surface drill core sections. A natural clear white microdiamond was also recovered from a 6.18kg core sample from a second drill hole. Both samples also contained G10 garnets as well as chrome diopsides and one olivine grain, all of which grains determined to be of diamond inclusion composition by microprobe analysis. Metalex remarked that “these results are considered most encouraging because small samples of kimberlites in the area such as those at the nearby Victor Diamond Mine, typically do not contain abundant microdiamonds”.

Metalex reported that it is re-assessing other drill holes from the area which intersected similar material, and that an additional thirteen possible kimberlite intersections from thirteen separate drill holes have been selected for kimberlite indicator mineral and diamond recovery tests.

Mr.Shahé F.Sabag, Dumont's President and CEO said in a statement "…we are very excited by this milestone development from our Property and are pleased to be party to expansion of the Attawapiskat diamond camp in Ontario”.

Additional information on the Attawapiskat Property and exploration results which have previously been announced are available from DUMONT, METALEX and ARCTIC STAR websites (www.dumontnickel.com, www.arcticstardiamond.com, and www.metalexventures.com). Further results and details will be announced when they are available.
